Am I Eligible for These Services?
Eligibility for a Home Care Package is assessed and allocated by My Aged Care. To qualify, you must meet one of the following criteria:
Older Adults:
Aged 65 or over (or 50 and over for First Nations people) who require coordinated care services to remain at home.
Younger Individuals:
Living with a disability, dementia, or other care needs not addressed through specialist services.

- An ACAT team member will visit your home.
- Discuss:

While Waiting for Your Package
- Submit an income assessment to Services Australia or DVA.
- Trilogy, your case manager, will guide you through planning your services.

Start Your Services
- Sign your agreement within 56 days after allocation.
- Trilogy will explain costs and services, and Amigo Personal Care will deliver tailored support to meet your needs.

Manage Your Care
- Receive monthly invoices and activity summaries from Trilogy.
- Amigo Personal Care ensures high-quality services while collaborating closely with your case manager.

*The calculations provided are based on the following conditions:
- Services are scheduled during standard hours, which are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Public holidays are not included in these calculations.
- The hourly rate used is $64 per hour.
- Services requested outside the specified hours (evenings, weekends, or public holidays) will result in adjustments to the hourly rate and may reduce the total number of hours available.
- These calculations are estimates and subject to change based on service needs and timing.

How do I qualify for a Home Care Package?
To qualify for a Home Care Package, you must generally be an Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 65 or older, or a younger person with a disability. Eligibility is assessed through the Australian Government’s Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) or Regional Assessment Service (RAS), which evaluates your needs and determines the appropriate level of care. Income and asset tests may also apply to determine any contributions required.
