The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government program that funds supports for Australians under 65 with a permanent and significant disability. To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, be under 65, and have a disability that significantly affects daily life. Yes. Amigo Personal Care is a registered NDIS provider (Registration 4050155398), which means it meets the NDIS Practice Standards and is audited by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registered providers can deliver supports to NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants.
As a Registered NDIS Provider, Amigo offers Personal Care, Companionship, Domestic Assistance, Transport, Social & Community Access, Medication Management, Respite, Gardening, Home Handyman, and Staying Active programs. All services are tailored to your individual NDIS plan goals and delivered in your home or community.
Yes. Daily living assistance is funded under the Core Supports budget of an NDIS plan when it relates to your disability support needs. This can include personal care, help with meals, domestic tasks, and getting around the community. Amigo Personal Care delivers NDIS daily living assistance across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs from its Eastgardens base.
An NDIS support coordinator helps you understand your NDIS plan and put it into action — finding and connecting you with providers, setting up service agreements, coordinating your supports, and preparing for plan reviews. Support Coordination is funded in some NDIS plans but not all; if you're unsure whether you have it or need it, Amigo's team can review your plan and advise.
Yes! Amigo works with Agency-managed, Plan-managed, and Self-managed participants. If plan-managed, your Plan Manager pays us directly. If self-managed, we invoice you and you claim reimbursement from the NDIS. Our team can help you understand your funding options.

Once your NDIS plan or Home Care Package is in place, we can usually start within a few days of completing your service agreement. If you are still awaiting approval, talk to us now — we will prepare everything so you can start as soon as your funding is confirmed.

On a recent visit I personally witnessed my brother Harry being supported by numerous Amigo team employees. Having been a coordinator in disability services myself for many years has allowed me to understand the complex support and care that is needed especially for a person who requires 24-hour high-level care.
